The Gatehouse Conquest Air has all the same standards as the original Conquest riding hat but with the added benefit of air chambers at the back of the hat.
The air chambers inflate by repeatedly pressing the pump located in the neck roll of the helmet. To deflate the air chambers you hold down the release valve and the air will slowly deflate.
The inflation/deflation system of the Conquest Air is designed to be used when you are wearing the riding hat but before you mount your horse.
Kitemarked to BSEN1384
The BSEN 1384 riding hat standard has recently been withdrawn by the governing body in charge of standard regulation. If you are a leisure rider and you do not compete, you will not be directly affected by this change as it is still a safe standard of hat to use. However, please ensure you check with any insurance companies or riding establishments that your standard of hat meets their requirements. If you are a competition rider and you ride in affiliated competitions, you must confirm with the governing body under whose rules you compete what standards are acceptable to them before entering the competition.
